V-LOCK

XPAN V-Lock fixing system

XPAN façade system has been designed to be simple, fast and intuitive. Today many cladding contractors appreciate our system recognizing its technical validity. It works exactly as expected.

What makes XPAN so smart is the particular hidden fastening system we call V-Lock. It involves the use of a “clip” element that constrains the façade profiles to the substructure. The “clip” element that has been extensively tested and certified to prove its mechanical strength, is fixed to the substructure by means of stainless self-drilling screws.

The name V-Lock derives from the particular “V” joint shape present between the “clip” element and the upper flange of the wall profiles. This design has been made to help the “clip” to be perfectly aligned and positioned. The “clip” element is supplied pre-drilled in order to speed up installation operations.

The façade profiles (depending on the type) will be installed leaving a standard 5mm longitudinal joint. which must be carried out by inserting a special packer inside the same joint and removed as soon as it is fixed.

In order to avoid the excessive longitudinal sliding of the profiles, due to thermal expansion and contraction, it is necessary to apply a screw to be positioned on the upper flange of the façade profiles, which will have the function of a fix point.
